Two local insurance agencies have merged their operations, resulting in the closure of an office in Neosho.
Larry Chalmers, Chalmers Insurance Agency, Inc. and Steve Beimdiek, Beimdiek Insurance Agency, Inc., announced on Monday the merger of their businesses effective Sept. 1. The combined organizations are located at 303 W. Third St., Carthage, and operate as Beimdiek Insurance Agency, Inc. The new company maintains offices in Carthage and Joplin. The merger resulted in the closure of the Chalmers Insurance office in Neosho.
A written release from Steve Beimdiek said Chalmers Insurance workers Terry Geller and Laura Tillman joined the Beimdiek Insurance Agency and will continue serving their individual life, disability, long-term care and workplace benefits clients.
Larry Chalmers will focus on a new financial services business named Premier Financial Solutions, located in Joplin.
"This affiliation will be a big benefit to our customers," Beimdiek said. "The combined resources will continue a commitment to excellent client service and innovative insurance program management. The excellent staff from Chalmers Insurance will be a tremendous asset to our company. We will continue to develop other strategic partnerships with organizations that share our vision and offer specialized resources."
Beimdiek Insurance was founded in 1936 and is owned by G. Stephen Beimdiek. The agency is the largest private locally owned agency in Southwest Missouri providing insurance management services for personal and commercial insurance clients. The agency employs 30 sales, support and administrative employees. Separate personal, commercial, financial services, employee benefits, professional liability, special programs and safety services divisions are responsible for sales and service to agency clients. Additionally, the agency also provides self-insured employee benefit and workers compensation programs to medium/large business entities.
Beimdiek offers specialized insurance programs for agribusiness, manufacturing, contracting, medical care providers, social service agencies, schools, financial institutions and public entities.
Larry A. Chalmers, Jr. formed Chalmers Insurance in 1990. They provide personal, business, health and life insurance programs.
