State Treasurer Clint Zweifel announced today he has appointed Angie Heffner Robyn his Deputy State Treasurer. Robyn will oversee all functions of Treasurer Zweifel’s office. She had served as General Counsel and Director of Policy for Treasurer Zweifel since his inauguration.

“Angie is a trusted advisor and has been instrumental in making this office more accountable to taxpayers. She manages at a high level and has a deep knowledge of state government and public policy,” Treasurer Zweifel said. “Missourians can have great confidence in her experience, her skill and her passion for public service.”

Robyn replaces Mark Mathers who resigned today as Deputy State Treasurer to pursue other opportunities, but will temporarily remain as a transition specialist.

“Treasurer Zweifel is focused on turning this economy around and I will continue to advise him and implement policies that help put Missourians back to work and are fiscally sound,” Robyn said. “I have been directed to achieve excellence for taxpayers, and that is what this office will be focused on each day.”

Mathers was appointed by Treasurer Zweifel on Jan. 5, 2009, and previously served as Director of Investments for five years.

“I thank Mark for his five years of service to Missourians and his work in a seamless transition after I was elected,” Treasurer Zweifel said. “Missourians benefited from his knowledge of financial policy and his commitment to affordable higher education. I wish him the best in future endeavors.”
