After a change in plans, the Carthage High School football team will now have a balanced home and away schedule for the next two seasons.
Carthage’s game against current district and former Southwest Conference rival McDonald County, originally scheduled for McDonald County High School in Anderson on Thursday, Oct. 28, has been moved to K.E. Baker Stadium in Carthage.
The change, announced earlier this week by Andy Youngworth, Carthage High School activities director, gives the Tigers five home games and five away games.
Carthage opens the 2010 season on the road against Central Ozark Conference rival Branson on Friday, Aug. 27, at Pirate Stadium.
The home opener is scheduled for the following week (Sept. 3) against league foe Ozark.
