Tigers picked third in Big 12 North football pre-season poll

According to the 2009 Big 12 football preseason poll, the University of Missouri will finish third in the North division of the conference, with Nebraska projected as this season’s north champion.

Mizzou, the two-time defending Big 12 North Champions, received 124 points, including three first-place votes in the poll.

Nebraska was tabbed to with the Big 12 North, with Kansas coming in second and Missouri third. Colorado, Kansas State and Iowa State round out the division. Texas and Oklahoma tied as the favorite in the South, each garnering 174 points, followed by Oklahoma State, Texas Tech, Baylor and Texas A&M.
