CARTHAGE, Mo. -

The wildest rider in the history of motocross, Danny “Magoo” Chandler, made a surprise visit to Carthage for a 10-day visit with Barry Hill of the Skunk Factory Motocross Training Center, located in Topeka, Kan.

The talented but erratic Chandler just returned from Italy where he attended the Motocross of Nations (Olympics of world Motocross) as a special guest.

It’s an event Magoo himself had participated in and won for the United States. In fact, he won every race.

“I got to KCI (in Kansas City) and decided to come see Barry Hill again,” said Chandler. “We’re finalizing our agenda for the 2010 Magoo World Cup Motocross Championship taking place at the Skunk Factory, a perfect Euro style venue.”

Chandler was a top AMA and world championship motocross racer of the 1980s. His hard-charging racing style won him legions of loyal fans at home and abroad. Chandler was known as one of the boldest riders of his era.

“I want to thank Dean Sexton of D&D Sexton Inc. for letting me hang out with Barry all week.”
