ANDERSON, Mo. -

McDonald County hands CHS first loss this season

The Carthage Lady Tigers met a familiar foe Tuesday against former Southwest Conference rival McDonald County.

The Lady Mustangs, helped by a game-changing double, came away with a 6-4 rain-shortened win at McDonald County High School.

The loss drops the Lady Tigers to 3-1 overall this year.

Carthage saw its early three-run lead vanish in the Lady Mustangs’ fifth.

A three-run double helped secure the win for the Lady Mustangs.

Carthage begins Central Ozark Conference play at 5 p.m. Thursday at Webb City High School.
