McDonald County hands CHS first loss this season
The Carthage Lady Tigers met a familiar foe Tuesday against former Southwest Conference rival McDonald County.
The Lady Mustangs, helped by a game-changing double, came away with a 6-4 rain-shortened win at McDonald County High School.
The loss drops the Lady Tigers to 3-1 overall this year.
Carthage saw its early three-run lead vanish in the Lady Mustangs’ fifth.
A three-run double helped secure the win for the Lady Mustangs.
Carthage begins Central Ozark Conference play at 5 p.m. Thursday at Webb City High School.
