JBOA-SW Coaches-Friends scramble results

Friday marked the JBOA-SW Coaches-Friends 2 Person Scramble at the Carthage Golf Course, in which proceeds went to storm damage officials to benefit those in need.

Winners of the championship flight were John and Ashley Roberson with a score of 60. Jason and Jill Whitesell came in second with a 62. Gary Greene and Scott Hartley carded a 64, good for third place. Marty and Carl Atnip, along with Walter Resa and Chad Williams rounded out the top-5 with each team shooting a 65.

Meanwhile, the competition in the A Flight was as close as it gets. In that division Keith and Wesley Guest, Micheal Moyer and Jonathan Wengert, as well as Brandon Williams and Curt Kester each turned in a 70 to claim the top-three postitions. Greg Golden and Jim Beckner, along with Leo Bantranger and Dan Rogers each shot a 71 to round out the top-5.

Each team in the top five of the B Flight carded a 74 for the day. The teams were: Jeff Hafer and Jim Brower; John Murray and Phil Cook; Larry Rowger and David Sherer; Mike Larson and Mike Shelts; Terrell Malone and David Keeton.

Winners in the Closest to the Pin competition were: Steve Hummel, hole No. 3; Ashley Roberson, 6 and 8; Phil Cook, 12; and Derek Price, 17.
