CARTHAGE, Mo. -

 • To all those who have given special attention to means of reclaiming and continuing much of the original design of the Maple Leaf Festival as a step toward future greater than ever achievements. The design of something of benefit for everybody and an opportunity for exhibit or performance with any who desire that aspect in a carefully scheduled community time of joy in which conflicts that cause us to compete with our selves are avoided. Above all, we hope no one every forgets that, from the beginning, the center and source of the entire festival was and remains the educational marching band festival.

 • To all the dedicated living history specialists who engage in truth as illustrated by living persons  as a primary means of learning ever more about the reality of our local history.

• To all the area law enforcement personnel as well as the entire staff of the Congregation of the Mother Co-Redemptrix for superb control of a huge crowd with minimal disruptions resulting from behavior or missteps beyond the rules behavior — making it nearly non-existent throughout Marian Days.

•  To the great numbers of Carthage area church members in various and diverse bodies of faith’s practices who devote so much of their time, talent and other resources in their mission of helping and encouraging all the less fortunate near and far.
