Lloyd Elbert Clements, 89, Doniphan, Mo., died Aug. 19, 2008, at his residence.
Mr. Clements was born March 23, 1919, at Ravenden Springs, Ark. He was a self-employed carpenter and enjoyed gardening and flowers, a farmer at heart.
On March 3, 1945, he was married to Wanda L. Hamilton at Walnut Ridge, Ark. She survives.
Also surviving are three daughters; Dorris Elouise Gere of Iola, Kan., Anita Marie Jones of Carthage, Mo., and Karen Faye Brown of Fairdealing, Mo., on sister, Enid Hill of Kent, Wash., one brother, Larry Clements of Doniphan; and eight grandchildren and 23 great-grandchildren.
Mr. Clements was preceded in death by his parents, Loranza and Glenna Hope Walker Clements, on son, Lawrence Wendell Clements, one daughter, Kathy Gail Clements, one sister, Crystal Rogers and one brother, Kenneth Clements.
Visitation will be from 5-8 p.m., Friday, Aug. 22, 2008, at the Edwards Funeral Home in Doniphan. The funeral service will be held at 1 p.m., Saturday, Aug. 23, 2008, at the Edwards Funeral Home Chapel with Brother John Harwell officiating. Burial will be in the Oak Grove Cemetery.
