Howard Emmett Dickson, 49, a former resident of Carthage, Mo., passed away at 7:35 p.m., Friday, Sept. 26, 2008, at Cox South in Springfield, Mo.

He was born in Carthage to Mack Charles Dickson and Marcella, R “Farris” Dickson.

He is survived by his wife Joy Dickson, son Dominic William Anderson. Howard is also survived by his mother Marcella R. “Farris” Dickson, three brothers, Oliver “Scotty” Dickson of Carthage, Mack Charles Dickson, of Sioux Falls, S.D., and Curtis Dickson of Springfield, two sisters Charlene Jackson of Springfield, Va., and Diane Farris Dickson of Plano Texas. Also surviving are a host of nieces and nephews. He is preceded in death by his father Mack Charles Dickson, and one brother Harry Dickson.

Graveside Services will be at 2 p.m. Thursday, Oct. 2, 2008, at Cedar Hill Cemetery, Carthage. 

Visitation will be from 6-8 p.m., Wednesday, Oct. 1, 2008. 

Arrangements are under the direction of Ulmer Funeral Home, Carthage.
