Cynthia “Cindy” Curtis, 41 a longtime Jasper resident, passed away on Feb. 24, 2010, at the Barnes Jewish Hospital, St. Louis, Mo.  

She was born on Feb. 15, 1969, in Carthage, Mo.  Cindy was the daughter of Richard Capps and Sarah “Bryant” Capps and the late “James” Jim Klice.  Cindy enjoyed participating and attending antique car shows with her husband showing off their 1971 Chevelle, fishing and gardening. She was a member of second Wind, Lung Transplant Club, St. Louis.

Cindy married Robert Curtis on June 29, 2002, at the Mt. Moriah Church in Carthage, Mo. He survives. She is also survived by her father Richard Capps of Port St. Lucy, Fla., and mother Sarah James of Joplin, Mo.; father-in-law Bob Curtis of Carthage; one son Michael Hamilton of Joplin, Mo., and one daughter Jesica Franklin of Webb City, Mo.; three  brothers Rick Capps of Baxter Springs, Kan.,  Larry Capps and Mark Capps both of Carthage, Mo.; two sisters Mandy Hollcof  and Angel Capps both of Atlanta, Ga..; one grandson Jereamh Hamilton.  

Cindy is preceded in death by her dad James “Jim” Klice and mother-in-law Jean Curtis.

Graveside services will be at 2 p.m., Monday March 1, 2010, at Park Cemetery, Carthage.  Visitation will be from 2-4 p.m., Sunday Feb. 28, 2010, at the Ulmer Funeral Home Chapel.
