Kenneth Gene Ogden, 69, of Carthage, Mo., passed away Wednesday, Feb. 17, 2010, at Carthage Health & Rehab.
He was born on Sept. 8, 1940, in Carthage, Mo., to Revere and Ethel (Campbell) Ogden.
Kenneth was a lifelong resident of Carthage and an Army veteran. He loved fishing, hunting and reloading ammunition.
Survivors include, A daughter, Mary (Ogden) Willoughby of Jasper, Mo.; five brothers, Ernest Ogden of Summer, Texas, David Ogden of Carthage, Mo., Charles and Marion Ogden both of Joplin, Mo. and Dean Ogden of Neosho, Mo.; two sisters, Ellen Vail of Tucson, Ariz., and Martha Allee of Joplin, Mo.; four grandchildren of Jasper, Mo., and a host of nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents; two brothers, Henry Ogden and Hubert Ogden; and one sister, Virginia Ballance.
Services were held at 2 p.m. on Saturday, Feb. 20, 2010, at Fasken Cemetery with Reverend Larry Graham officiating. Sharon Maynard sang “He Touched Me” and Military Rites were performed by Jasper VFW Post 6415. Burial was in Fasken Cemetery under the direction and care of Weng Funeral Chapel , Jasper, Mo.
