Beulah M. Abbiatti, 81 of Carthage, passed away at 8:35 p.m.. Monday, Jan. 25, 2010, at Freeman West Hospital.
She was born on Dec. 23, 1928, in Rocky Comfort, Mo. Beulah was the daughter of Elvin Fly and Opal “Utter” Fly. She worked for Schreiber’s for 27 years. Beulah was a member of the Church of Christ, Carthage. She belonged to the Women’s Bowling League, a charter member of the Carthage Saddle Club, and helped her husband Melvin with the Carthage Skating Rink.
Beulah married Melvin Abbiatti on Feb. 18, 1950, in Bentonville, Ark. He preceded her on Sept.15, 2009.
Beulah is survived by two sons, Doug Abbiatti of Avilla, Mo., and Dale Abbiatti of Carthage; two daughters Teresa “Abbiatti” Littles of Sarcoxie, Mo., and Sandra Abbiatti of Bullard, Texas; one sister Louise Reid of Carthage and numerous nieces and nephews.
Beulah is preceded in death by her husband, parents and one sister Ruth Benson.
Visitation will be from 6-8 p.m., Thursday, Jan. 28, 2010, at Ulmer Funeral Home. Services will be at 2 p.m., Friday, Jan. 29, 2010, at the Church of Christ, Carthage. Burial will be in Park Cemetery.
