Lucille Rusk, age 81, of Carthage, Mo., passed away on Saturday, June 13, 2009, at her home peacefully in her sleep.
Lucille was born on Nov. 30, 1927, in Afton, Okla., the daughter of the late Franklin and Etta Pierce.
She graduated from Webb City High School a member of the class of 1945. She married Dean Rusk on November of 1954 and he preceded her in death in December of 2001. She worked for nearly fifteen years for Motorola, and she worked for Bradbury Bishop’s in Webb City for several years, retiring in the early 1980s. She was a past member of the Lincoln Ladies. She enjoyed playing Bingo.
She is survived by two sons: Steve Rusk and wife Linda, Carthage, Mo., and Jim Rusk and wife Louise, Carthage, Mo., and three grandchildren.
A graveside committal of ashes will be held at 3:30 p.m. Friday, June 19, 2009, at the Mount Hope Cemetery Open Air Chapel.
Arrangements are under the direction of Hedge-Lewis Funeral Home.
