George E. Roper, age 73 of Carthage, Mo., passed away Thursday, Aug. 12, 2010, at his home.
George was born on Sept. 12, 1936, in Dade County, Mo., to Kenneth and Bessie (Ingle) Roper.
George was a farmer and a retired carpenter. George was united in marriage to Judy Sale on Nov. 7, 1958, in Carthage, Mo. She survives.
Other survivors include, one son, Darren Roper and wife Kay of Wentworth, Mo.; one daughter, Dana Storm and husband Larry of Jasper, Mo.; two sisters, Dorothy Pugh of Carthage, Mo., and Katherine Hininger of Jasper, Mo.; five grandchildren, Justin and Ryan Storm both of Jasper, Mo., and Kourtney, Kelsey and Casey Roper all of Wentworth, Mo.; three great-grandchildren, Dylan, Shiloh and Colt Storm of Jasper, Mo. There are several nieces and nephews also surviving. He was preceded in death by his parents and a brother, Jimmy Roper.
The family will receive friends from 4 to 6 p.m., Sunday, Aug. 14, 2010, at Weng Funeral Chapel in Jasper, Mo.
