Casey Marie Coggin, age 17, of Carthage, passed away Saturday evening, due to injuries sustained in an accident at her residence.

Casey was born to Jeff and Debbie Coggin on Jan. 13, 1991, in Clinton, Mo.

Casey volunteered at the Carthage Humane Society. She was currently in her junior year at Carthage High School and on track to graduate early in December of her senior year. She was a member of the Carthage FFA Chapter and had earned her Chapter Degree.  Casey was also a former 4-H member and a Girl Scout.

Casey is survived by her parents, Jeff and Debbie Coggin of Reeds; one brother, Phillip Coggin and his wife Leslea of Carthage, Mo.; paternal grandparents, Carl and Helen Coggin of Neosho, Mo.;  maternal grandfather, Larry Jackson of Higginsville, Mo.; paternal great- grandmother, Ruth Paris of Hot Springs, Ark.; maternal great- grandmother, Lola Jackson of Higginsville, Mo., one niece and one nephew; Curtis and Cassandra Coggin of Carthage; and fiancé, Chad Marsh of Carthage, Mo.

Casey will be missed by many Dear Friends! 

Services will be held at 2 p.m. Wednesday, May 14, 2008, at Ulmer Funeral Home Chapel. Interment will follow at Saginaw Cemetery. There will be open visitation. 

Contributions may be given to Hometown Bank in Memory of Casey.
