Wayne Ellmore McReynolds, 64, passed away Saturday, March 6, 2010, at 7:45 a.m. at the Joplin Health Care Center, Joplin, Mo.
He was born May 8, 1945, in Leesville, La., the son of Leonard Ellmore McReynolds and Virdean (Brown) McReynolds. His father preceded him in death.
He was a 1964 graduate of the Carthage High School and a member of the Church of Christ. He was a life long stamp collector as well as a baseball card collector. He was a member of the Joplin Stamp Club. He was an avid sports fan.
He married Carla Hicks on Aug. 13, 1984, in Miami, Okla. She survives. His mother, Virdean McReynolds, Carthage, Mo.; one daughter, Kimberly McReynolds, Carthage, Mo.; two sons, John McReynolds, Joplin, Mo., David McReynolds, Webb City, Mo.; two brothers, Joseph Elston McReynolds, Monroe, Ga., Franklin Brown McReynolds, Joplin, Mo.; and one grandchild also survive him.
A visitation and funeral service will be held Wednesday March 10, 2010, from 10 a.m. until service time at 11 a.m. Gary Morrison and Joe McReynolds will officiate.
Interment will be in the Oak Hill Cemetery, Carthage, Mo.
