Neil Wayne McAfee, 4-month-old son of Earl Wayne McAfee Jr., and Sheala Wright, passed away Sunday, Aug. 10, 2008, from injuries sustained in a one vehicle accident. 

Neil was born March 18, 2008, in Joplin, Mo.  He was a member of the Full Gospel Church, Lamar, Mo.

Survivors include his mother, Sheala Wright, Carthage; his paternal grandfather, Earl Wayne McAfee, Sr. and step grandmother, Sherry McAfee; paternal grandmother, Trasa McAfee and step-grandfather, Randy McCullough, Carthage; maternal grandmother, Nela Sherrick, Lamar, Mo.; maternal grandfather, Albert Wright and step-grandmother, Stephanie Wright, Carthage; one uncle, Brycen McAfee; two aunts, Emily McAfee and Alexandria Graham. 

He was preceded in death by his father, Earl Wayne McAfee, his sister, Jazmen Schlechter, his maternal great-grandfather, David Molloy and maternal great-grandparents, Albert Ray and Etta Wright.

Visitation will be held from 6-8 p.m. Tuesday, Aug. 19, at Fairview Christian Church, Carthage. Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Wednesday, Aug. 20, at Fairview Christian Church. Rev. Kenneth Musgrove will officiate.  Burial will be in Oak Hill Cemetery, Carthage, Mo. 

Memorials in memory of Neil Wayne McAfee may be made to US Bank, 2208 Grand Ave., Carthage, Mo., to help cover funeral expenses.
