Pat McClelen, Altus, Okla., passed away Saturday, June 27, 2009, in her sleep.

She was born Sept. 6, 1942, in Carthage, Mo., to Charles and Nina Beard Ropp. She was a graduate of Carthage High School, Class of 1960, and Missouri Southern College. She married John McClelen, a career airman for the U.S. Air Force. As a military wife she spent several years in Germany, Okinawa and later settled happily in Altus, Okla. She was an elementary school teacher and a piano teacher for many years. She was an original and lifetime member of the Altus Christian Fellowship.

She has two daughters, Cyndi Bosker of Omaha, Neb., and Kathryn McClelen of Las Vegas, Nev.; one granddaughter, Samantha Bosker, Omaha, Neb.; two sisters, Charlyn Hubbard and husband, Fred, Joplin, Mo., Bonnie Moss and husband, Charles, Joplin, Mo.

She was preceded in death by her parents and one sister, Helen Williams.

A visitation will be held from 2 – 2:45 p.m., Tuesday, June 30, 2009, at Knell Mortuary, Carthage, Mo. Graveside services will follow at 3 p.m. at Park Cemetery, Carthage. Minister David Cook will officiate.

Memorials may be made to the Altus Hospice, Altus, Okla., in care of Knell Mortuary, Carthage, Mo.
