Brian D. Burgess, Springfield Mo., passed away Saturday, Sept. 20, 2008, at his home after a short battle with cancer.

Brian was born June 10, 1959, to Albert C. Burgess Jr. and Kerry Hodges Burgess in Joplin, Mo.
He is survived by his wife of 20 years Renee as well as his two daughters Chelsey Burgess, 18, and Danille Burgess, 16, both of the home.

Brian has two sisters Julia Yaryan, Jasper, Mo., and Lorie Wilcox Fayetteville, Ark., as well as one brother Brad Burgess, Little Rock, Ark. He left behind many nieces and nephews who will miss him greatly as well.

Brian was employed by Bancsource for 14 years. His church home was Common Ground church in Springfield, Mo., where he made many caring lifelong friends.

Visitation will  be from 7 to 8 p.m., Wednesday, Sept. 24, at Weng Funeral Chapel, Jasper Mo.
Graveside services will be Thursday 2 p.m. at Waters Cemetery, Jasper Mo.

The love of a father runs deep and the love of a husband runs deeper. No man was loved more truly or deeply than my daddy. The loving father of two daughters and a proud husband for the last 20 glorious years. Dad left this world to join our Heavenly Father. Cancer may have claimed his body, but never his spirit. He will be missed Forever and Always by his loving family.
