Wanda Kathleen Crosby, 82, Carthage, Mo., passed away Friday, Feb. 26, 2010, in McCune-Brooks Regional Hospital, Carthage.
Wanda Kathleen Liggett was born March 11, 1927, in Mullinville, Kan., the daughter of George Liggett and Arti (South) Liggett. She was a graduate of Mullinville, Kansas High School, Class of 1945. She married Marvin Wayne Crosby Jr. on Feb. 16, 1947, in Columbus, Kan. She was active in the VFW Ladies Auxiliary, Post 2590, Carthage, Mo.
Survivors include her husband, Marvin Wayne Crosby Jr., Carthage; one daughter, Cheryl Crosby Canalez, Fresno, Calif.; three sons, Steven Crosby, wife, Debbie, Raymond, Calif., Terry Crosby, Carthage, Mo., David Crosby, Los Angeles, Calif.; three grandchildren and nine great- grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents and four brothers.
Memorial services for Wanda K. Crosby were held at 9 a.m., Sunday, Feb. 28, 2010, in the Park Cemetery Scattering Garden. Neel Baucom officiated. Memorial gifts are suggested to the American Cancer Society in care of Knell Mortuary.
