CARTHAGE, Mo. -
Ronald Wayne Southard, 72, of Diamond, Mo., passed away at 5:42 pm, Tuesday, Aug. 26, 2008, at Freeman Hospital, Joplin.
He was born on Aug. 19, 1936, in Carthage, Mo., and was the son of Oren and Lola “Siler” Southard.
Ronald attended the Jehovah’s Witness Congregation of Joplin East.
Ronald married Robbie Fidler on May 18, 1955 in Duenweg, Missouri. She survives.
He is also survived by three sons: Ronald Oren Southard, and wife Bette, of Duenweg, Mo., Scott Isaac Southard and wife, Judy of Joplin, Mo., Richard Craig Southard and wife Tina of Diamond, Mo.; one brother Lonnie Frank Southard, Prosperity, Mo.; three sisters: Brooksielane Orr and Della Mae Vance of Joplin, Mo., and Virginia Lee Shaw, Carterville, Mo.; and five grandchildren, Zachary, Jason, Ethan, Shalanna and Tesa.
Memorial Services will be held at 2 p.m., Saturday, Sept. 6, 2008, at Ulmer Funeral Home.
He is also survived by a host of friends and family and he will be greatly missed.
Services are under the direction of Ulmer Funeral Home of Carthage.
