Billy Jo (Swindle) (Wooten) Watson, 82, of Grove, OK., passed from this life Friday, May 10th at St. Francis Hospital in Tulsa.

Billy Jo (Swindle) (Wooten) Watson, 82, of Grove, OK., passed from this life Friday, May 10th at St. Francis Hospital in Tulsa.
She was born to Perry and Edna (Shumate) Swindle June 21, 1935 in Carthage, MO. (Kendrick town), the third of four sisters.
She married James H. (Jim) Wooten on August 13, 1955.
They had a daughter Julie & son Jeff.
After 25 years of marriage, 14 years divorced, Jim & Billy remarried Dec. 31, 1995 and retired on Grand Lake until his passing Oct. 5, 2001.
She had worked in  the retail shoe & jewelry business, and retired from Goodwill Industries (store manager) in 1995.
She worked as parish secretary for St. Andrews Episcopal Church in Grove, retiring in 2009 when she and Dale Watson were married in June. They enjoyed travelling in their motor home, with their beloved shi-tsu Minnie, as  members of "The Ozark Prairie Schooners" organization; eating and playing at various casinos, and hosting Christmas dinner for family and friends, including Cathy (Tilley) (Evans) Moore, her dear friend when both lived in Hominy,  and Marques Phelps, both of Grove.
She had been a member of the Leggett & Platt ladies bowling team, and FBC, Hominy, Lakeview Heights Baptist church, WOTM/ Moose Lodge-Tulsa, St. Andrews, and ECW, Grove, and VFW Ladies Auxillary.
Survived by her husband Dale Watson, their shi-tsu pup 'Sweetie', daughter Julie (Wooten) Martin, of Grove, son Jeff Wooten (wife Joy), Hominy, OK., Dale's daughters Cassandra Riley of  Cross Plains, TN, and Dodie Edmonds of Henderson, TX., a grandson Ryan Wooten ( Kristy) and their children Bretly & Bailynn of TX., Sister Betty Salzer (Mike), niece Suzi (Salzer) Powell ( Tom) their daughter Olivia Rose, all of Joplin, MO., nephew Sam Griffith ( Dana) of Addis, LA and 3 great-nephews, Chance (Denise) Russ (Tera), Adam (Mandy) of NC, and their children.   
Billy Jo was preceded in death by her parents; husband Jim Wooten, 2 sisters-Bobby Griffith, her husband Ross, and their son Joel of Lexington, NC, Shirley Byrd, and husband Huck of Tulsa.
A Celebration of Life service and interment will be held at St. Andrews Saturday June 16 at 2 p.m.
Cremation Society of Oklahoma-Tulsa have been entrusted with her cremains.
In lieu of flowers, Billy requested donations be made to the ECW (Episcopal Church Women's group).
