Friday’s investigation into the kidnapping of an eight-month-old boy in the north part of Carthage disrupted trash collection in the city.

Carthage Police Chief Greg Dagnan said officers asked Allied Waste, the city’s trash collector not to pick up the trash on their normal route on Friday so any evidence that might have been dumped in any one’s trash could be preserved.

Zeb Carney, Carthage Public Works Director, said Allied Waste plans to run Friday’s trash collection route on Saturday.
