The U.S. Postal Service will reopen Joplin’s Station ‘A’ Post Office Branch, located at 3115 S. Main St., on Monday, June 13 at 8:30 a.m. Repairs to the branch Post Office, which was damaged by the May 22 tornado, are nearly complete.
Residents in ZIP Codes 64803 and 64804 whose homes were damaged or destroyed should pick up their mail at the Station ‘A’ Post Office beginning Monday, June 13. Station ‘A’ hours will be Monday – Friday 8:30 a.m. – 5 p.m. and 9 a.m. – noon Saturday.
“We’re proud of the continued dedication of our Postal Service coworkers here in Joplin and from nearby Post Offices in southwest Missouri and southeast Kansas,” said Joplin Postmaster Pam Richards. “Our customers have been very understanding, too – given the logistical challenge of delivering tens of thousands of letters and packages to customers whose homes and businesses may no longer be there. We’re proud to play a part in Joplin’s rebuilding efforts.”
Displaced customers, who haven’t yet done so, are encouraged to submit a Change of Address (COA) online at www.usps.com, by calling 1-800-ASK-USPS (1-800-275-8777), or by visiting any local Post Office.
