It’s the end of an era for the Fairview Drama Club, as Thursday’s production of Paul Stewart’s “Olympus House” will be its last.
“It’s bitter sweet to present this play,” wrote Fairview sixth grade instructor and club director Angel Ambrosius. “It’s been an amazing six years.”
Fairview is the only one of the district’s five elementary schools that has a drama club available for the fifth and sixth graders. But with the rearrangement of the various grade levels, with the fifth and sixth classes leaving Fairview for the newly created Middle School, this will be the last of the school’s unique presentation. In fact, the show “is dedicated to all past and present that have helped and been involved in Fairview Drama Club through the years,” Ambrosius wrote.
Olympus House will be held at 6:30 p.m. Thursday, with a 15-minute intermission between acts.
Fairview students participating in this last historic play includes: Bryan Giron, Zane Ambrosius, Cherith Parnell, Christian Parsons, Masen Cook, Jared Golden, Allie Smothers, Abigail Deras, Jennifer Anderson, Baylee Cartwright, Karli Boyd, Brittany Gonzalez, Isabel Schroter, Adela Del a Pena, Nathan Garber, Robert Peppers, Taylor Linder, Vicky Knight, Natasha Farmer, Ben Hoover, Madison Schoenhals, Julia Corona, Hugo Solis, Jarrett Pyle and Ana Reyes-Mojica.
