Several pieces of jewelry were stolen in a burglary of a home on June 16 and the victims of the burglary are offering a reward for their return.
Carthage Police said the burglary happened on June 16 in a home in the 1100 block of Grand Avenue.
Police said at least a dozen pieces of distinctive jewelry were taken from the home. The family from whom the jewelry was stolen is offering a $1,000 reward to anyone with information that would lead to the arrest and successful prosecution of the person or people who stole the items.
Police are asking the public to be on the look out for the following items:
1. Approximately 32-inch long Mikimoto pearls with distinctive gold filigree clasp. One pearl may have a small speck or two of nail polish.
2. David Yurman ring - large black onyx stone surrounded by diamonds.
3. David Yurman black onyx Renassiance-style pendant. Interlocking pieces form a medallion like shape, may have some small diamonds.
4. Konstantino heavy interlocking silver chain with embedded design work. Konstantino silver cross with pink stones surrounded with small gold accent.
5. Konstantino silver chain with small oval mother of pearl jewels. Also a large oval mother of pearl pendant - the pendant has a small amount of gold around the outside perimeter, but most of both pieces are silver. The carved pattern is a cross.
6. Small gold chain with a graduating row of seven to 10 small garnet “flowers.” The largest flower is in the center. Matching stud garnet flower earrings.
7. Gold chain with small amethyst pendant in a pearl shape. At the top of the pendant there are three small pearls. Matching earrings that "dangle" a bit. All metal is gold.
8. Blue Sapphire ring. Heavy gold filigree with diamonds. Victorian feel. Overall design is in the shape of a large marquise.
9. Large aquamarine stone ring. Small diamond accents. Gold.
10. Small ring amethyst heart shaped with diamonds. Diamond at point missing.
11. Victorian Slide Bracelet (gold) with eight or so slides each with multicolor stones inset.
12. Gold Paradot Necklace and Heart Shaped earrings.
