A variety of activities and events are planned for the day including education stations with live animals, fly-tying demonstrations, hands on fly-fishing instruction and prize giveaways.
The first 600 people under the age of 15 will receive a kids fishing kit, and every young participant that registers and attends two education stations will be eligible for the prize drawings.
The event will have free food, which will include hot dogs, chips, drinks and more.
The City of Carthage, Kellogg Lake Group, MAKO FlyFishers and several local groups and businesses will assist with the event.
There is no pre-registration, but everyone is required to bring their own fishing pole and tackle, as worms will be provided.
