• Responded to 733 Oak Street for a structure fire, it was discovered that a fire in a fireplace was stoked, creating a lot of smoke but no fire.
Monday, Oct. 19
• At 8:49 a.m., responded to a motor vehicle accident at the intersection of Central and Garrison, no injuries were reported.
Tuesday, Oct. 20
• At 6:43 p.m., responded to 503 Driftwood Lanes in neighboring Carterville to assist Carterville Volunteer Fire Department personnel battle a structure fire in Carterville.
• At 7:09 p.m., responded to a one-vehicle accident at 5th and Lyon, no injuries were reported.
