Carthage police arrested a suspect in a stabbing that happened on the west side of the city late Thursday.
In a written release, police said they received a report of a stabbing at 11:05 p.m.
When they got to the crime scene, officers detained and later arrested Stephen Armer, 44, Webb City. Police are seeking charges of first-degree assault and armed criminal action.
The victim, who was not named by police, was transported to a local hospital and is in stable condition.
No further details were available at print time.
