In honor of National Arbor Day on Friday, April 25, members of the Carthage High School Stream Team will hold a free contest for three Red Sunset Maples from Pinewood Nursery.

At no cost to the owner, the tree will be delivered and planted by a professional from the nursery. The trees are more than 8 feet tall, come with a ONE-year guarantee and are valued at $100.

To be eligible, participants must be a Carthage residents and be entered by 4 p.m. on Thursday, April 24. To enter the contest, call 359-7020 ext. 19117. Please state that you are entering the Stream Team contest and leave your name, address, phone number and reason for wanting to provide a good home for the tree. No more than one entry per household.

Three winners will be selected on Friday, April 25, and will be contacted so arrangements for delivery and installation can be made.
