R-9 board to swear in incumbents

CARTHAGE, Mo. -

The Carthage R-9 Board of Education will reorganize at 6 p.m. today during the regular school board meeting at the Fairview Elementary School Multipurpose Room.

Incumbents Danny Lambeth, Tony Diggs and Jeff Jones were re-elected to the board on Tuesday, April 8. Following their swearing-in, the election of officers will take place – president, vice president, secretary and treasurer.

On the agenda will be the recognition of Student Council Gold Awards. The awards are based on extensive service to school and community. Both junior high and high school student council representatives will be honored.

Gary Jackson and Bevan Brawner of Hight-Jackson Associates will report on progress at the new high school construction site. There will be consideration of a change order on the project and the board will discuss the placement of a cornerstone plaque.
