Sami Bayless is the 17-year-old daughter of Brian and Charity Baugh Bayless, and granddaughter of Jasper County Clerk Marilyn Baugh.
She was severly injured in a two-vehicle crash at 7:50 a.m., June 6, 2018, on Missouri Highway 96, 10 miles west of Miller.
Marilyn Baugh said Sami Bayless spent 10 days in a hospital in Springfield before she was transferred to Craig Hospital in Denver, Colorado, which specializes in rehabilitation of people who have suffered from spinal cord injuries.
She had to be transferred to Swedish Hospital in Denver for five more surgeries to repair damage from the crash, and is supposed to be transferred back to Craig Hospital this week.
