Pageants to decide the Queen, Princess, Junior Princess, Little Miss and Little Mister on Friday, July 6 will kick off a week of fun and hard work that is the 2018 Jasper County Youth Fair.
The Pageants will start at 6 p.m. at the Carthage R-9 Auditorium on Main Street.
The band No Apparent Reason will play before and during the pageant and tickets are $2 in advance and $3 at the door.
“The Jasper County Youth Fair Pageant is an event that recognizes young people for their achievements, community involvement, and talents,” the Jasper County Youth Fair Board said. “It includes several activates including Pageant 101, bowling, and personal interviews which allows contestants to build friendships and prepare for the pageant. The duty of the fair royalty will be to represent their youth organization and hand out awards at the fair. They should strive to be an encouragement to all the 4-H and FFA club members.”
A week full of events and kids working extra hard culminates next Saturday with the Youth Fair Car and Truck show, traditional tug of war and a myriad of events.
