Carthage High School Future Business Leaders of America collected food from Carthage residents in Halloween costumes for their annual Trick or Treat for Canned Goods event on Tuesday, Oct. 24.
More than three dozen students participated in this drive that has become an annual tradition with the FBLA and collected 1,215 canned items that will be donated to the Carthage Crisis Center.
FBLA leaders said students were given maps of Carthage and sent to different sections of town to avoid having multuple groups of students hit the same homes.
The students searched out donors and took pictures of their journey through the evening.
The students gathered back at Carthage High School after they were finished, shared their photos and counted up their collection.
Prizes were awarded to the groups that collected the most canned food.
The Carthage FBLA said thank you to the community for their help in this drive.
