Before the sun had a chance to warm up the day, babies gathered at the Japer County Youth Fair for the Beautiful Baby Contest Saturday morning.
These fair babies were judged in age divisions based on several different categories such as most hair, curliest hair, cutest country attire, cutest fair animal costume and cutest personality.
And the winners are …
In the 0-3 month division: Blayne Daugherty, son of Jaclyn and Wes Daugherty, won cutest country attire. Landyn Plybon, son of Michael and Miranda Plybon, won youngest boy and cutest fair animal costume. Hailey Anderson, daughter of Jeff and Kalina Anderson, won youngest girl, most hair and cutest fair animal costume. Karter Porath, son of Zak Porath and Kylie Gordon, won most hair.
In the 4-6 month division: Landry Buffer, son of Scott and Kari Buffer, won everything by default. (He was the only one in the division.)
In the 7-11 month division: Baylor Rush, son of Roger and Brandy Rush, won cutest smile and most hair. Ian Sheppard, son of Jenifer Sheppard, won most teeth, cutest country attire. Zannah Grigg, daughter of Mike and Shannah (Cassatt) Grigg, won prettiest smile. Hailey Hensley, daughter of Amber and Donovan Hensley, won most teeth and hair and tied for cutest country attire. Emma Shumaker, daughter of David and Melissa Shoemaker, tied for cutest country attire.
In the 12-17 month division: Marla Block, daughter of Marty and Julie Block, won most teeth. Jaeleigh Lambeth, daughter of Travis and Misty Lambeth, won cutest smile, most hair, curliest hair, and tied most teeth with Marla Block. Kinley Lang, daughter of Kelby and Kelsie Lang, won cutest country attire. Kya Thorn, daughter of Shenandoah Thorn, won best smile.
In the 18-24 month division: Owen Beck, son of Jamie and Travis Beck, won best personality and most talkative. Isaiah Reales, son of Yolanda and Nelson Reales, won most hair, cutest country attire, and curliest hair. Shelbi Anderson, daughter of Jeff and Kalina Anderson, won most talkative. Ruby Sheppard, daughter of Jenifer Sheppard, won curliest hair. Isabelle Murray, daughter of Matt and Victoria Murray, won straightest hair. Journey Frieheit, daughter of Brooklyn Maggard and Brandon Frieheit, won cutest country attire and best personality.
