Soccer Tigers top Joplin for third straight district title

The Carthage soccer Tigers topped the Joplin Eagles 2-0 to take the MSHSAA Class 3 District 12 soccer title for the third straight year.

Joe Curti and Ismael Serratos scored goals in the second half of Friday's soccer game at Joplin's Junge Stadium to take the win.

It was also the third year in a row that Carthage has beaten the Eagles for the district title.

Carthage will host the next match against the champions of Class 3 District 11 on Nov. 13.
