Old Missouri Bank announced today it has recruited former Hometown Bank CEO Lonnie Heckmaster to its bank and plans to expand into the Carthage and Joplin area.
OMB will open a Loan Production Office (LPO) in Carthage.
The official date of opening the LPO will occur in August and the facility will be located at 530 West Fir Road.
In addition to the loan production office, OMB plans to open a full-service branch location within the area.
This additional community investment is slated for an early 2019 completion and will be pending regulatory approval. The new branch will bring Old Missouri Bank’s number of locations to seven; with current offices in Springfield, Ash Grove, Walnut Grove, Mt. Vernon and Buffalo.
To lead the expansion, OMB has recruited Lonnie Heckmaster, who will serve as the market leader. Heckmaster is a native of Carthage and has a great depth of knowledge in banking. He has enjoyed a vibrant and successful career spanning 37 years and most recently served as the President, CEO and Chairman of the Board of Hometown Bancshares.
“We are always looking for growth opportunities and believe the Carthage and Joplin area provides us with a strong and growing customer base,” said Mark Harrington, President and CEO of Old Missouri Bank. “This expansion and community investment is part of our ongoing commitment to build a vibrant region for the people and businesses that call Southwest Missouri home.”
