A missing Texas teenager was found in a Carthage home today (Thursday) and the man suspected of taken her was arrested by Carthage police.

A missing Texas teenager was found in a Carthage home today (Thursday) and the man suspected of taken her was arrested by Carthage police.

Carthage Police Lt. Jeff Steffen said Charles “Ward” Kuentzel Jr., 21, was arrested at the home at 520 Pine Street, and a 15-year-old girl, reported missing in Wheeler County, Texas, was located and will be taken home Friday morning.

Steffen, in a written release, said Wheeler County Deputies contacted Carthage police on Wednesday and told them that Allison Dickey, 15, who had been reported missing on July 24, might be in Carthage.

Steffen said Wheeler County Deputies determined that Dickey has been in contact with Kuentzel on social media.

Steffen said officers served a search warrant on the home at 2:27 p.m. Thursday, located the missing teenager and took Kuentzel into custody.

Steffen said Kuentzel was taken into custody and is being held in the Jasper County Jail pending the filing of formal charges.

The Wheeler County Sheriff's Office on July 24 said Dickey was last seen when she went to bed at about 10:30 p.m. On July 23.

Her guardian discovered she was missing at 7:30 a.m. July 24.
