Gaining a new perspective can be as easy as changing seats in our home but or as difficult as climbing to the tallest tower. I suppose the question that I want to pose this morning is–are we willing to be open to a new perspective? Are we willing to open the Bible that sits on our shelf and allow ourselves to read those living words? If we aren’t willing–what does that say about the perspective we are are holding tight to? It’s a perfect day to be open to the change in perspective that God has waiting for us. Let’s not put off to tomorrow what we can do today. Let’s do this. Let’s offer our bodies as the living sacrifice that was mentioned in Romans 12–because God is faithful and He is waiting for us to come. He’s waiting for us to come to Him for our renewal today.
“Therefore, I urge you, brothers, in view of God’s mercy, to offer your bodies as living sacrifices, holy and pleasing to God–this is your spiritual act of worship. Do not conform any longer to the pattern of this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind. Then you will be able to test and approve what God’s will is–his good, pleasing, and perfect will.” Romans 12:1-2
