  • Everyone is invited to celebrate and recognize the true meaning of Easter this Sunday morning.
The Carthage Christian Ministerial Alliance is hosting a Community Easter Sunrise Service 7 a.m. Sunday outdoors at the corner of Fairview and Grand Avenues. If it rains, the service will be moved to the Nazarene Church.
“The Alliance is unique in the fact that the church leaders know it's not just about one church – whatever we can do that benefits the Kingdom of God is what we're going for,” said Chuck Davis, vice chairman of the Ministerial Alliance. “There is a real desire to show the community's unity, and how we can put it into practice. This is one of those opportunities.”
The 30-minute Easter program will involve eight to nine local pastors, including a message from Larry Graham with Grace Point Assembly. Those attending are encouraged to bring lawn chairs, and use Nazarene parking as well as the space east of the church at Calvary Hill.
An offering will be taken to support LifeChoices pregnancy ministry.
Following the service, there will be a time of fellowship over  breakfast at the Nazarene Church.
