  • After years of recognition for award-winning service, Marty Lown experienced a bit of nostalgia.
Coachlight RV Sales and Service employees gathered with Newmar Corporation representations on Tuesday in celebration of another successful year, and everyone took a glance at a board of pictures and articles from years ago held in congratulations of the same happy occasion. Once again, Coachlight was honored as the recipient of the Customer Satisfaction Index Award (CSI Award) and the annual Mahlon Miller Service Excellence Award from Newmar Corp.
“In this picture I'm squatting down with the award, and that's not going to happen this year,” Lown said, sparking some laughter from his employees. “We are very pleased to accept these awards again, and it wouldn't be possible without you.”
Since the award's inception in 2000, Coachlight has won the CSI Award every year, and this year make's the eighth (out of nine) time for the company to be recognized with the Mahlon award.
Not only do these awards represent outstanding customer service, but superior quality in the product and labor. Richard Parks, chairman of the board for Newmar Corp., said visiting the award-earning locations with Newmar was important.
“It's with you (the employees) we have our success,” he said.
Newmar, a privately owned Nappanee, Ind.-based manufacturer of high-end Class A motor homes and fifth-wheels. Coachlight RV is located at 5327 S. Garrison Ave., Carthage, and has been a family-owned business since 1968.
