April is Child Abuse & Neglect Prevention Month...

Children’s Center of Southwest Missouri and Children’s Haven of Southwest Missouri are joining with many communities across the state to recognize April as Child Abuse & Neglect Prevention Month both nationally and in Missouri. Friday, April 11 is “Go Blue Day”.  We hope you will join thousands of Missourians on that day in wearing blue to promote the safety and well-being of Missouri’s kids and the importance of child abuse prevention. Children’s Center and Children's Haven encourage you to wear something blue (the official color of prevention) on this day to show your support for Missouri’s kids and share with others about the importance of prevention and keeping children safe.

Children’s Center of Southwest Missouri, a not-for-profit child advocacy center headquartered in Joplin, Mo., provides multi-disciplinary victim assistance services to sexually abused and/or physically abused children, ages birth through 17, and their families.

Children’s Haven of Southwest Missouri provides temporary shelter to children in a safe, secure environment while parents are connected to community resources to resolve a family crisis.
