  • A Jasper woman may face charges of felony vehicular assault and drunk driving in the wake of a crash that sent her, a child in her car and a Carthage man to the hospital on Monday.
The Missouri State Highway Patrol's online arrest report page said  Emilee Neher, 26, Jasper, was arrested and released to medical personnel after the crash.
The Patrol said it was planning to submit paperwork to the Jasper County Prosecutor's Office on those charges, plus counts of no valid driver's license and careless and imprudent driving on Emilee Neher after Monday's two-vehicle crash.
Patrol Spokesman Mike Watson said the accident was still under investigation as of late Tuesday and the investigator planned to submit the paperwork to the prosecutor's office in the next day or so.
Emilee Neher and Jaden Neher, 5, a passenger in her car, were hospitalized with moderate injuries, according to the Patrol, and the driver of the second car, Edwin Grundy, 41, was hospitalized with serious injuries after the crash that happened at 5:02 p.m. Monday.
The Patrol said both vehicles were traveling north when Neher's vehicle traveled into the lane Grundy was driving in when the vehicles collided, causing both vehicles to run off the road and overturn.
No further information about the charges or the crash were available from the Missouri State Highway Patrol on Tuesday and no official charges were listed on the state's online court record system Casenet as of late Tuesday.
