  • Ella L. LeDoux, 95, of Holton, Kan., passed away Sunday, Nov. 3, 2013, at Vintage Park in Holton.

  • Ella L. LeDoux, 95, of Holton, Kan., passed away Sunday, Nov. 3, 2013, at Vintage Park in Holton.
    She was born on May 29, 1918, near Carthage, Mo., the daughter of Trent O. and Jessie Webb Johnston Piercy.
    Ella graduated from Carthage High School. She was a devoted homemaker and beloved wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother. Ella married Clifford K. LeDoux on January 2, 1944, in San Diego, Calif. He preceded her in death on Aug. 8, 1998. They made their home for many years in Topeka, Kansas and were founding members of the Trinity Presbyterian Church. She was also preceded in death by a son, Dale Trent LeDoux; sister, Virginia McCoy; and brother, Don Piercy.
    Survivors include a son, Al LeDoux and his wife Sarah of Holton; brother, Jeff Piercy of Carthage, Missouri; and daughter-in-law, Boni LeDoux of Woodland Park, Colo. She is also survived by grandchildren, Trent LeDoux, Holton, Kan.; Jessica LeDoux Baack and husband Eric, Staplehurst, Neb.; Andy LeDoux and wife Danielle of Agenda, Kan. and John LeDoux and wife Carey, Denver, Colo.; by four great-grandchildren, J. W. LeDoux and Jady Jo LeDoux of Agenda, Kan. and Ella Jean Baack and Piper Ann Baack, of Staplehurst, Neb. and many nieces and nephews.
    Memorial services will be 10 a.m. Wednesday, Nov. 6, 2013 at Evangel United Methodist Church in Holton.
    Inurnment will follow in Hackney Cemetery in rural Carthage, Mo.
    The family will greet friends from 6:30-7:30 p.m. today at Mercer Funeral Home.
