Friday, October 25th
Former U.S. Olympic gymnast, Shawn Johnson will speak at 7 p.m. October 25th in Baldwin Auditorium on the Truman campus. The event is sponsored by the Student Activity Board. At the 2008 Olympic games in Beijing, China, Johnson earned an individual gold medal in the balance beam and three silver medals in the individual all-around, floor exercise and team catagories. In 2009, Johnson became the youngest ever contestant on ABC’s “Dancing with the Start,” where she danced her way to be the champion of season 8. For more information call 660-785-4722. Saturday, October 26th
The City of Kirksville will be hosting a Fall Festival from 4-6 p.m. at Rotary Park in Kirksville. This event will be replacing the Children’s Halloween Carnival. Join in for fames, treats, crafts, and family fun. The movie, “Hocus Pocus” will be shown at dusk (6:45 or 7p.m.) For more information call Parks and Recreation at 660-627-1485.

Kirksville Women of Today Annual Craft Show begins at 9 a.m at the Kirksville Middle School. The event ends at 3 p.m. Lunch will be available to purchase along with homemade pies. Go do some Christmas shopping and have some pie! Call 660-665-5736 for more information.
Tuesday, October 29th
The 5th Annual Senior Expo will be from 11 a.m.-2 p.m. at the Rehoboth Baptist Church at 100 Pfeiffer Ave. in Kirksville. The Expo is a resource exposition and health fair for Seniors, their caregivers, and disabled adults. For more information call 660-665-4682.

Visit the House of Grim Haunted House 7:30 -10:30 at the Grim Residence Hall on East Patterson Street on the Truman campus. Admission is $3. Join the staff will for a haunted house experience the will tap into your most basic fears while learning about the true History of Ezra Grim and the apparitions that dwell within the walls.
