Diahann Carroll and Denzel Washington are reviving A Raisin in the Sun on Broadway, the Associated Press reports.
Carroll will play matriarch Lena, and Washington will star as her son William. The play, which first debuted in 1959, follows the black family as they try to find a better life in a white neighborhood.
"I think it's one of our most original plays and I think that's why it keeps coming back," Carroll told the AP. "It's one of those classics."
The cast will also include Sophie Okonedo and Anika Noni Rose. Scott Rudin will produce.
The most recent revival of the play was in 2008's TV movie starring Sean Combs in Washington's role and Phylicia Rashad in Carroll's role.
Previews begin March 8 at the Ethel Barrymore Theatre with an opening night slated for April 3.
