Evelyn Frances (Turner) Harris went to be with the Lord on June 12, 2013 at the Baptist Home in Chillicothe, Mo., where she had resided since July 29, 2005.
Evelyn was born May 17, 1921 in Reeds, Mo., to Herman Gray Turner and Katie Victoria “Bogue” Turner. She was the second of six children.
Evelyn married W. A. “Bill” Harris on May 20, 1939 at Carthage. They were blessed with five children: William Wayne Harris of Kearney, Mo., Richard Francis Harris of Florida, Marilyn Kay (Harris) Ford who passed away in 1985, Allen Herman Harris of Liberty, Mo., and Patty Lou (Harris) Carter who passed away in 2010.
She is also survived by nine grandchildren and 13 great-grandchildren, one brother Victor Harold Turner, Madera, Calif., and a sister Maxine (Turner) Wiens, Arcadia, Fla.
She is preceded in death by her parents, husband, and two sisters.
Evelyn was the member of the First Baptist Church of Carthage.
Services will be 10 a.m. Tuesday, June 18, 2013 at the Ulmer Funeral Home. Visitation will be from 7-8 p.m. Monday, June 17, at Ulmer Funeral Home Carthage, Mo.
