  • Wendell Anthony Clark, 49, of Granby, Mo., a retired EFCO employee, departed this life Friday morning, May 31, 2013 at his home after several years of declining health.

  • Wendell Anthony Clark, 49, of Granby, Mo., a retired EFCO employee, departed this life Friday morning, May 31, 2013 at his home after several years of declining health.
    Anthony entered this life on April 16, 1964 in Advance, Mo., to the union of the late Robert G. and Clara G. (Etheridge) Clark and was a graduate of Sarcoxie High School. On Oct. 4, 1988 he was united in marriage to Suzane L. Sageser and to this union two children were born. Later the family moved to Granby, Mo. He attended the United Methodist Church of Sarcoxie, Mo. Anthony was very much an “outside” guy. He took great pride in working in his yard, and grew a fantastic garden. He enjoyed camping, spending time with his family and friends’, attending Tony’s sports activities, but what he really loved was “hanging with his kids”. He was a devoted Husband, Dad, Brother and Uncle.
    He was preceded in death by his parents, father in law; Cecil Sageser, brother in laws; Buster Cobine, Billy Joe Sageser and Frankie Sageser.
    Anthony is survived by his wife; Suzane Clark of the home, daughter; Cortney Clark and son; Tony Clark of the home, and daughter, Lacy Reynolds and husband Seth, two brothers; Zackary Jackson and Benjamin Clark, both of Granby, Mo., two sisters; Cynthia Pieschel and husband Gary, of Carthage, Mo., and Michelle Straw and husband Harold of Sarcoxie, Mo., mother-in-law; Helen (Boswell) Sageser of Reeds, Mo., two brother in laws; John Cobine and Deke Sageser, both of Reeds, Mo., one sister in laws Roxane Williams of Reeds, Mo., 12 nephews, ten nieces, 14 great nephews and 12 great nieces as well as a host of other family and friends. In lieu of flowers contributions may be sent to Tony Clark educational fund and may be left at the funeral home.
    Graveside service will be Tuesday morning, June 4, 2013 at 11 a.m. at Sarcoxie Cemetery in Sarcoxie, Mo. Those honoring his life by serving as pallbearers are Gary Pieschel, Jr., Levie Straw, Patrick Clark, Layton Straw, Zachary Jackson and Benjamin Clark, honorary pallbearers will be Todd Carpenter, John Cobine, Deke Sageser, Gary Pieschel and Harald Foster. Visitation and Celebration of Life will be Monday, June 3, 2013 from 5-8 p.m. at Housh-Goodwin Funeral Home in Sarcoxie, Mo.
