Janice Kay Cole, age 70, died peacefully on May 14, 2013 at home in Carthage, Mo., after a long struggle with cancer.
Janice was born March 17, 1943, in Carthage, Mo.
In 1967, Janice married the love of her life Larry R. Cole, and lived the majority of their blissful lives in and around the Carthage area. She loved and enjoyed raising her children and grand-children as a stay at home mom.
Janice was loved by all who knew her. Most significantly, it was told by many that she was the person they went to when they needed someone to listen. She made things “all better”. She will be missed by many family and friends.
Janice is survived by her husband Larry R. Cole, two sons Jeff Tatum and John Cole, three daughters Lynn Cronin, Carla Nichols and Darla Cole, four grand-daughters Keri Prater, Lacy Reynolds, Kendall Swadley and Marlee Nichols, four grand-sons Kit Prater, Clay Cole, Lance Tatum and Cole Lane as well as seven great-grandchildren.
She is also survived by four brothers Kenny Baugh, Homer Baugh, Dick Baugh, and Ben Baugh and Jeff Myers, and three sisters Blanche Flesher, Reatha Jeffries and Beverly Comer, as well as several nieces and nephews. She was re-united in heaven with three brothers John Baugh and Larry Baugh and Junior Myers, and one sister Shirley Tullis.
A memorial gathering will be held in her honor on Saturday, May 18, 2013 at 5 p.m. at her brother Ben Baugh’s home at 11601 CL 185 (96W to CR 180, then West on Locust) in Carthage. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations can be sent in her name to Weng Funeral Chapel, 605 S Main St, Jasper, MO 64755. Arrangements are under the care and direction of Weng Funeral Chapel.
